One mile south of Chichester on the Sidlesham to Selsey road, the parish church of St George is barely visibly from the road, to gain access you have to travel along a track across a field.
The parish church of St George dates from the 13th century. The battlemented tower was added in the 16th century and contains 3 bells. The north chapel was rebuilt in the 19th century. A fire in 1939 necessitated extensive restoration of the nave and aisles, and the windows were blown out by bomb damage in 1941.
Church details, together with baptism, marriage, monumental inscription & burial records can be accessed by clicking on the church name.
