Will of William Baker of Hastings

This is the last will and testament of me William Baker of Hastings in the county of Sussex hairdresser. In the first place I direct all my debts and funeral expenses and testimonies expenses to be paid and subject there to I give devise and bequeath all my real and personnel estate property effects whatsoever and whether in procession revision or expectancy with then appurtenances and to the use of my affectionate wife Elizabeth Baker her heirs executors administrators and assigns absolutely and I appoint her sole executor of this my will and also guardian of my children during their respective minorities and I revoke all wills by me heretofore made and declare this to be my last will. In witness where of I the said William Baker have unto set my hand this 11th day of August in the year of our lord one thousand eight hundred and fifty five.

William Baker signed by the said testor in the presence of us who in his presence and in the pressure of each other have here unto set out hand the day and year above written

The will of William Baker late of Hastings within the archdeannery of Lewes hairdresser deceased was proved 27th October 1855 before Rev Samuel Foyster upon oath of Elizabeth Baker the sole executor in the said will named so whom was committed the administrator of the goods, I being first sworn well and faithfully to adminster the same and so forth sworn also the goods chattels and credits of the said deceased did not amount in value under one hundred pounds died on 9th September 1855.
