In the name of God Amen I Henry Bysh of the parish of Worth in the County of Sussex yeoman being aged but of sound perfect mind memory and understanding do make and declare my last Will and Testament in manner and form following. I give devise and bequeath unto my son William Bysh all that my copyhold messuage or tenement and three acres of copyhold land thereto belonging be the same more or lass situate on Copthorne in Worth in the County of Sussex having first surrendered the same to the use of this my last Will and Testament to hold to him the said William Bysh and to his heirs and assigns for ever. Also I give unto my son the said William Bysh the sum of ten pounds and one pair of chest of drawers. Also the blue chest which are now both being in the kitchen chamber where I now live. I give unto my daughter Sarah Powel the sum of thirty eight pounds. I give unto my daughter Jane Bradford the sum of five pounds. I give unto my daughter Betty Brooker wife of John Brooker the sum of forty pounds. All which said legacies are to be paid to each person within the space of twelve calendar months next after my death by my executor hereinafter named. All the rest residue and remainder of my personal and real estate household goods cattle and chattels not before disposed of after my just debts and funeral expences are paid and discharged I give devise and bequeath the same unto my son Thomas Bysh to hold the same unto him and unto his heirs and assigns for ever. And lastly do make and appoint my son the said Thomas Bysh full and whole executor of this my last Will and Testament revoking disannulling and making void all former Wills here before by me made allowing this and only this to be my last Will and Testament. This Will was proved at London the sixteenth day of May in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and eighty nine before the Worshipful John Nicholl, Doctor of Laws and Surrogate of the Right Worshipful Sir William Wynne, Knight, Doctor of Laws, Master keeper or Commissary of the Prerogative Court of Canterbury lawfully constituted by the oath of Thomas Bysh the son of the deceased and sole executor named in the said Will to whom administration was granted of all and singular the goods chattels and credits of the said deceased he having been first sworn duly to administer
