In the name of God Amen I Thomas Braby of Amberley in ye County of Sussex yeoman beinge weake in body but of sound memory doe ordaine this my last will & Testam’t in manner & forme following. Impris I bequeath my soul into ye hands of God my Creator Redeem’r & Sanctifier hopeinge to be saved by the meritts of my Savio’r Jesus Christ & my body to bee buryed in Christian buryall. Itm I will my goods & chattells to bee sold and after paym’t of my debts to bee equally divided between two of my children that is to say my son Robert Braby & my daughter Sarah Braby towards ye bringinge them up and I doe appoint my brother John Walder of Burpham & William London of Clapham ex’tors of this my last Will & Testam’t & doe give to each of them five shills apeice dated the third day of Jan’ry in ye year of our Lord 1681.
