In the name of God Amen Roger Bancks of Pinckton in the parrishe of Alfriston in the County of Sussex carpenter being sicke in body but of good and pfect memory did make and declare his last Will and Testament nuncupative the five & twentith day of October in the yeare of our Lord God one thousand six hundred twenty and five in manner and forme following. First hee did give and bequeath to Thomas Bancks his sonne ten pounds of good and lawfull money of England to bee payd unto him at the feast of St Andrew the Apostle for twelve monethes after his decease. Item hee did will and bequeath unto his sayd sonne all his houshold stuff wch hee had at the tyme of his marriage wth Anne his wife and all his worcking tooles. The residue of all his goods chattells and credibts his debts and legacies payd hee did give and bequeath unto Anne Bancks his wife whome hee made and appoynted sole executrix of this his last will and Testament. Witnesses here unto David Foster, John Lambe and William Booker
(In Latin) Proved before Robert Goffe, Surrogate &c 2 December 1625 by Anne Bancks the relict of the deceased & executrix named in the said Will to whom admon was granted.
