I Samuel Jury of the Parish of Bexhill, in the County of Sussex mercer being sicke in body But of good and disposing memory (Thanks be to God) Doe make this my last will and Testament in manner and forme following First I bequeath my soule unto the hands of God that gave it And my body to Christian buriall
Item I give unto my Three brothers Thomas Richard and Christopher Seaven pounds a peece To be paid them within a Twelve moneth after my decease
Item I give unto my Mother Elizabeth Jury the sume of Five pounds To be paid her within Six moneths after my decease if she live soe long and not otherwise Item I give unto my sister Anne Jury Five pounds To be paid within a yeare after my decease
Item I give unto my Brother and Sister Berry and all their Children Tenn Shillings a peece to be paid within Six moneths after my decease
Item I give unto my Two Children Hannah and Samuel Fifty pounds a peece To be paid unto them on their day of Marriage or age of Twenty yeares which shall First happen And if any one of them shall depart this life Then I will the portion of that which is deceased To the survivor And if both shall depart this life I will and bequeath it to my Executrix if she doe survive them (vizt the whole hundred pounds above menc[i]oned to be given to my Children) And if my Executrix doe not survive them But my Children dye after her I will the hundred pounds before menc[i]oned To be equally devided betwixt my Sister and Brothers then Liveing To be paid them within a Twelve moneth after the decease of my said Children If it shall soe happen
Item I give unto Widr Leonard Five shillings And Twenty shillings To the poore of the Parish of Bexhill aforesaid
Item I give unto Mildred my Loveing wife All that my Messuage or Tenement neare Lisday Greene Together with Sixteene Acres of Land more or lesse Late Laughes and before Slepokers And now in the occupation of Thomas Longford or his Assignes To have and to hold unto the said Mildred and her heires for ever
Item All the Rest of my goods and Chattells (Debts and Funerall Expences and Legacies discharged) I give unto the said Mildred my Loving wife whom I make Sole Executrix of this my last will and Testament Sealed with my Seale Dated the Seaventeenth day of Aprill 1674
