Will of Henry Moore of Willingdon

This is the last Will and Testament of me the Reverend Henry Moore of Willingdon in the County of Sussex Clerk. First I direct that all my just debts and funeral and Testamentary expenses be fully paid and satisfied And subject hereto I give devise and bequeath all this said residue and remainder of my real and personal Estate whatsoever and wheresoever unto my friends the Reverend Henry Kelson Clerk Rector of Folkington in the said County and Matthias Sly of Hailsham in the said County Esquire their heirs and executors and administrators and trust as soon as conveniently may be after my decease to convert the same into money and to pay the same unto my brother Thomas Moore of Overgates in the parish of Torpenhow in the County of Cumberland Yeoman absolutely And I declare that my said Executors shall not be answerable or accountable for the acts or deeds or defaults of each other nor for any loss that may be occasioned without his or their wilful neglect or default And I authorise my said Executors to reimburse to himself or themselves all such sum or sums of money as they may be at or put unto in the execution of this my will together with a reasonable allowance for their services and loss of time And lastly I revoke all former Wills by me made in Testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this first day of June one thousand eight hundred and forty three.

Signed sealed and published and declared by the said Henry Moore the Testator as and for his last Will and Testament in the presence of us who in his presence at his request and in the presence of each other have hereunto subscribed our names as witnesses.

This is the Codicil to be added and taken as part of the last Will and Testament of The Reverend Henry Moore of Willingdon in the County of Sussex Clerk which will herein date the first day of June one thousand eight hundred and forty three. I give and bequeath the undermentioned articles as follows that is to say My clothes to my servant Holebone My easy chair to Miss L Hart. One of my books to the Rev H A Atkinson. My gaiters to my nephew Mr Henry Ritson.

On the twentieth Day of November 1843 Were sworn Henry Kelson and Matthias Sly the Executors by stipulation in this will named to whom was committed the Execution thereof and of the Cococil thereto And the said Henry Keslon and Matthias Sly were at the same time sworn that the Goods Chattels and Credits of the Deceased were under the value of Two Hundred Pounds,
