In the name of God Amen I Robert Durrant of the parrishe of Esthothelighe in the County Sussex yeoman sick but of good and perfect remembrannce thancks be to Almighty God ordein and make this my last will and testament in manner and forme following. First and principally I bequeathe my sowle to Almighty God my maker and redemer and my bodye to be buryed in Hothelighe aforesaide. Item I will unto a preacher for a sermon at my buryall vis viiid. Item I will unto John Sommer sonne of John Sommer of Framfeld in the County of Sussex forty poundes of good and lawfull money of England when he shall accomplishe and come to the full age of twenty one yeares. Item I will unto the reparacons of the churche of Framfeld xs. Item I will and bequeathe unto Isabell Somer daughter of John Somer of Framfeld aforesaide xiiil vis viiid of good and lawfull money of England to be payde to her when she shall come to the age of xxithe yeares. Item I will unto Joane Somer one other daughter of the saide John Somer xiiil vis viiid of good and lawfull money of England to be payde unto the saide Joane when she shall come to the age of sixtene yeares. Item I will unto Gillian Somer one other daughter of the saide John Somer xiiil vis viiid of good and lawfull money of England to be paide unto the saide Gillyan when she shall come to the full age of sixtene yeares. I will unto Jane Somer one other daughter of the saide John Somer xiiil vis viiid of good and lawfull of England to be payde unto the saide Jane when she shall come to the age of xvi yeares. Item I will unto Joane Davye xxs. Item I will unto ev’yone of my Godchildren iiis iiid excepte to them whiche have any thing besides bequeathed. Item I will unto Margaret Cowper xxs. Item I will unto Phillipp A Lighe of Maughfeld xxs. Item I will unto Richard Somer sonne of John Somer aforesaide all my lands and ten’ts sett lyeng and being in the parrishe of Framfeld aforesaide to him and to his heires for ev’ at suche time as he shall accomplishe and come to the full age of twenty foure yeares. Item I will and bequeathe unto Nicholas Dorrant sonne of Willm Dorrant of Esthothelighe all my landes and ten’ts set lyeng and being in the parrishe of Maughfeld to him and to his heires for ev’ to him and to his heires for ev’ at suche time as he shall accomplishe and come to the full age of xxiiiithe yeares. Item I will unto Elizabeth Durrant, Susan Durrant, Joane Durrant and Marye Durrant all the rents proffitts and comodityes of my saide lands at Maughfeld untill the saide Nicholas Durrant come to the full age of xxiii yeares to be equally devided amongest them. Item I will and bequeathe unto John Merywether iiis iiid. Item I will unto Cleare Penkeherst my ser’ant xls. Item I will unto Joane Wenyer xxs. Item I will and bequeathe unto my mris mayde Mrs Staplee of Franfeld aforesaide xls to be distributed to her at her discrecon. Item I doe ordein and appointe Willm Dorrant of Esthothelighe my kinseman to be my sole executor to see this my will well and truly performed in all points. Item I will and appointe my Mrs mris Staplee of Framfeld aforesaide, Anthony Staplee of Worthe in the County of Sussex Esquiyer, Edmond Staplee of Framfeld aforesaide to be my trusty overseers to see this my will well and truly performed. Item I will that my executor shall enter into good and sufficient bondes unto my ov’seers for the performance of this my last will and testament and the payment of all my legacies and bequeathes hearin given and bequeathed. Item I will unto Willm Dorrant my executor all my rents proffitts and annuyties whatsoev’ within the Countyes of Sussex. Item I will unto my overseers either of them xxs to be payde by my executor.
