The site has been tested in Google Chrome, Opera and Apple Safari (our favourites), Mozilla Firefox and Microsoft Internet Explorer; all on Windows 7.

28 Mar 2010	Unfortunately we have been unable to contact Mary Hallett, OPC for Itchingfield, and her website no longer appears to operate. Consequently we have removed her from the site for the time being, hoping that we will be able to re-establish contact in due course!
26 Apr 2010	Unfortunately the direct links to Robert Eberhard's excellent stained glass windows website from the church pages have been removed as the church identifiers used on that site cannot be guaranteed to be stable. A link to his homepage has been added on the links page where individual church information can be searched for.
01 Nov 2004	Two Sussex wills added.
01 Mar 2006	Transcripts of newspaper coverage of the Chiddingly 'Onion Pie Murder' of 1852.
03 Mar 2006	Transcription of the Jefferay Memorial in Chiddingly Parish Church.
08 Jan 2005	Transcription of the 1861 census for Battle added.
12 May 2012	Transcription of the 1841 census for Waldron added (districts 5,6 & 7) from Piece 1118, altogether 1065 individuals.
24 Nov 2005	Transcription of St Steven, Hammerwood, Churchyard Gravestones (the first page on this site to use the new database. All transcriptions will be migrated into the database in due course).
06 Aug 2008	Transcription of 15 monuments in Tortington church together with the Roll of Honour and list of vicars.
12 Jan 2012	Tidied up the postcard series and publisher information and added links to the excellent website, sussexpostcards.info (from the publisher detail screens) which provides much more information about Sussex postcard publishers and more examples of their work. As time goes past it is hoped that many of the postcards currently labelled 'publisher unknown' will be able to be correctly attributed using the information on this site created by Rendel Williams. I am grateful to him for providing the necessary information to create these links.
16 Apr 2006	Three wills added.
20 Dec 2013	The remaining enumeration descriptions for the 1841 census Piece 1104 added.
23 Jul 2013	The reduction of of the size of images on the site has been avoided. We have purchased additional space from our hosting company for a modest increase in the monthly subscription.
01 Feb 2012	The image collection reaches 10,000!
01 Jun 2009	The first major upgrade to the Sussex OPC website is launched, with a new database. New features include a church browser, an embryonic index to the Sussex Archaeological Collections, a poll register index and a postal directory index.
06 Sep 2011	The 1841 census for Crowhurst has been tidied up which completes piece 1105 of the 1841 census.
