Here lyeth Sr Iohn Parker Knigt. who deceased ye 15 day of October 1617 in ye 70 yere of his age beinge never maried. he was yonger brother to Sr Nicholas Parker of Ratton in Willingdon Knigt.& he was many yeres of ye gentlemen Pencyoners to Queen Elizabeth & Kinge James. Kinge James by his letters patents ,ade him Captaine of pendenis Castle in Cornwall which he injoyed untile his death.
