Harrison's description (1911):

ALL SAINTS. Partly rebuilt in 1861 and 1869. The tower and shingled spire (E.E.) are imposing. There is a squint remaining, otherwise the rebuilding has destroyed much of the interest in the church. Note: small size of chancel in proportion to nave; traces of Nor. work in vestry. The tower, built of chalk and faced with local stone, is dated 1445, in Arabic numerals, considered to be the earliest use of these figures in England. There is a 14th c. crypt (closed). The S. door and some windows are late 13th c. Reg 1581.
