Harrison's description (1911):

ST. MARY. There is a fine Nor. W. door. with billet and other mouldings, but the building is mainly E.E. Note: a canopied (Dec.) altar-tomb (Easter Sepulchre); ancient Sussex marble slab to Luci de Mildebi; and a brass to Thomas Cauze. Tower is 17th c. There is a fine new reredos.
