He married Sarah Harwood, in the parish church at Stopham on 15 January 1634/5. In 1640 he and his wife were living in Nuthurst, where his son John was baptised on 3 May 1640. Benjamin also took the Protestation Oath there on 13 February 1641/2. They then seem to have moved to Shipley, where Sarah (described as ‘wife of Benjamin’) was buried on 30 April 1644. By the time his father made his Will, on 20 September 1652, Benjamin was living in Ashington, although he was eventually buried in Shipley, on 19 December 1656.
