Will of Jenny Twort of Worthing

This is the last Will and Testament of me Jenny Twort of No 8 Prospect Row in the Town of Worthing in the County of Sussex I do give and bequeath to the children of my late Brother Mr William Twort deceased as follows To my Nephew Mr William Twort one hundred pounds To my Niece Mrs Ann Ewbank one hundred pounds To my Niece Mrs Jane Greening one hundred pounds To my Niece Miss Martha Twort fifty pounds to my Niece Mrs Sarah Atkins fifty pounds To my Nephew Mr Alfred Twort fifty pounds and to my Nephew Mr Charles Twort fifty pounds To the Widow of my late Nephew Mr Joel Twort deceased Mrs Twort twenty pounds To my Niece Elizabeth Mary Phillips the Daughter of my Sister ten pounds To the Widow of my late Brother William Twort deceased Mrs Ann Twort I give and bequeath twenty pounds And to the children of my late Brother Mr James Twort I do give and bequeath as follows To my Nephew Mr William Twort fifty pounds And it is my Will and desire that after payment of my funeral and testamentary expences and all my just debts to give and bequeath all other monies securities for money all monies due or owing to me all my wearing apparel Household furniture And all and every thing I die possessed of unto my Niece Mrs Anne Bond for her own use and advantage absolutely for ever but in case of the decease of either of my aforesaid Nephews or Nieces before my demise then his or her child or children if any Son or Daughter shall receive the share of the said deceased principal and interest equally share and share alike when he or she severally shall attain the age of twenty one years And in case of the decease of either of my aforesaid Nephews or Nieces before my demise or before he or she severally shall attain the age of twenty one years leaving no child then I do give the legacy before mentioned that I gave to the said deceased to my Niece Mrs Mary Ann Bond aforesaid I do appoint my friend Mr Henry Puttick of Worthing sole Executor of this my last Will and Testament and I do hereby authorise and empower him to fulfil this my Will to conduct my funeral and to bury me near Mrs Collins to place a Head Stone at my Grave and I declare his signature act or discharge to be as my own good and valid to all intents and purposes whatsoever both in law and equity my Executor aforesaid shall be subject to no loss but shall be allowed to and shall deduct out of each legacy in proportion and out of the residue of my personal estate all losses his necessary expences and his reasonable charges for his trouble In Witness whereof I now set my hand and seal this twenty seventh day of August one thousand eight hundred and thirty nine Jenny Twort.
