WHITEHALL, October 12, 1855. The Queen has been pleased to give and grant unto John Charles Jack of Dale Park, in the parish of Madehurst, in the county of Sussex, Esquire, Her royal licence and authority that he and his issue may, (in compliance with a condition contained in a certain disposition, deed of settlement, and last will and testament of his mother, Isobel, daughter of John Fletcher of Forres, in North Britain, and Widow and Relict of William Jack of Elgin, in North Britain, deceased, ) henceforth assume the surname of Fletcher instead of that of Jack : And also to command that the said royal concession and declaration be recorded in Her Majesty's College of Arms.
