NOtice is hereby given to all Persons whom it may concern, that Application is intended to he made to Parliament in the ensuing Session for Leave to bring in a Bill for making and maintaining a Navigable Cut or Canal, with a Sea Lock, from the Deep Water in the Channel in Chichester Harbour, in the Parish of Birdham, in the County of Sussex, opposite Longmore Point, to a Field called the Upper Southgate Field, belonging to Dr. Thomas Sanden, and in the Occupation of Messrs. Thomas Chaldecott and John Groves, and situate in the Parish of St. Peter the Great, otherwise Subdeanry, in the same County; and that such Cut or Navigable Canal is intended to be made and pass through the several Parishes of Birdham aforesaid, Appledram Donnington, St. Pancrass, and St. Peter the Great, otherwise Subdeanry aforesaid, all in the same County; and also for making, forming, and maintaining a Dock or Bason, with a Quay, and the proper and necessary Wharfs, in the aforesaid Field, at the Termination of the said intended Canal; and also for making and maintaining a Road or Highway from the Quay aforesaid, through and on the West Side of a Field called Fletcher's Pond Field, belonging to Mrs. Fletcher, and in the Occupation of Messrs. Reynolds and Hayllar, to communicate with the Road or Highway leading from Kingsham Farm into the Eastgate of the City of Chichester, and for widening such last mentioned road or Highway; and also for making and maintaining another Road or Highway from the Quay aforesaid, to communicate with the Turnpike Road leading from Del Quay into the Southgate of the said City of Chichester.
