He had obtained a dispensation to hold the both Braintree and West hiltington at the same time.

ELIZABETH & MATTHEW WESTON – Daughter and Son in Law of the Testator. Elizabeth was baptised in West Chiltington on 25 April 1632, dau of ‘Alan Carr Clarke’. He was buried in Billingshurst on 4 February 1668/9. No burial has been traced for Elizabeth to date, but she was still alive in 1674/5, when her brother, Robert Carr, mentioned her in his Will.

ALAN CARR – Grandson of the Testator. He was a son of Robert Carr, and grandson of Alan Carr. He also went to Cambridge University, like his father & grandfather. Both were described as being of Oving at the time of their marriage. NB There is also a record of their marriage in the parish register s of Oving, with a date of 25 May 1654. Was this just a record that the marriage of 2 of their parishioners had taken place elsewhere?]. He was admitted at the Middle Temple in1647, and became a JP.
