In the name of God Amen. I Richard a WEKES of the parish of Warbleton in the county of Sussex and within the diocese of Chichester being sick in body but whole of mind and perfect remembrance thanks be to God doth ordain and make this my last will and testament in manner and form following,

First I bequeath my soul to Almighty God my creator and to Jesus Christ my Redeemer and Saviour trusting to be saved by his death and passion and by no other means and my body to be buried in the churchyard of that parish where it shall please God I shall depart this mortal life.

Item I will to Joan SAYER my god daughter one ewe.

All the rest of my goods unbequeathed my debts and legacies paid and my will fulfilled I give to Alis my wife whom I make the sole executrix of this my last will and testament.

To this witnesseth: John Farmer clerk John Farmer Richard Waterer.
