In the name of God amen, the twentieth day of February in the year of our lord god 1563 1 Andrew Godfrey of the parish of Warbleton in the county of Sussex being in good remembrance thanks be given to God do make this my last will and testament in manner and form-following,

First 1 bequeath my soul to Almighty God and to his only son Jesus Christ my saviour and my body to the earth in the churchyard of Warbleton. Item. I will to the poor man's box there 4d.

All the residue of my goods not given nor bequeathed first my debts and legacies fulfilled I give them to John GODFREY and Thomas GODFREY my sons whom I ordain and make my executors of this my present testament and last will and over this I ordain and constitute Richard WATERS to be my overseer and he to have for his pains 6s. 8d.
