16 March 1565. In the name of god amen …...

First I bequeath my soul to Almighty God and my body Christianly to be buried. Item I will that immediately upon my decease my executrix …….. three ewes and three lambs for my three sons Peter George and Calebe when the youngest shall come to the age of twenty-one years. (If one dies to be divided amongst the others.)

Johane my wife shall have my house and garden for her natural life for the honest bringing up of my three children in the fear of God and if it seems good to her the payment of my debts within the space of three years.

Item I will with the consent of George WHITE my father-in-law to sell house and garden and the money to be bestowed as hereafter follows

Twenty shillings to any one of my three children to be put to use for their legacies. The residue of the said money for the sale of my house and moveable goods unto Johane my wife for the payment of my debts and the performing of my will and the bringing up of my children.

Full power to wife.

George WHITE and John PETTITT to sell and alienate my said house and garden. Executrix wife Johane.
