IN Pursuance of the Directions of an Act passed in the Tenth Year of the Reign of His present Majesty King George the Third, intituled, "An Act to enable the Speaker of the House of Commons to issue his Warrants to make out new Writs for the Choice of Members to serve in Parliament, in the room of such Members as shall die during, the Recess of Parliament ; " I do hereby give Notice, That the Death Of the Right Honourable Piercy Earl Thomond in the Kingdom of Ireland, late Member of Parliament for the Town and Port of Winchelsea in the County of Sussex, hath been certified to me in Writing, under the Hands of two Members of Parliament; and that I shall issue my Warrant to the Clerk of the Crown, to make out a new Writ for the Electing of a Baron to serve in this present Parliament for the said Town and Port of Winchelsea in the room, of the said Right Honourable Piercy Earl Thomond in the Kingdom, of Ireland, deceased, at the End of fourteen Days after the Insertion of this Notice in the Gazette. Dated the Twenty-fifth Day of July, One Thousand Seven Hundred and Seventy four. FL. NORTON, Speaker.
