Will of Peter Penfold of West Tarring

The last Will and Testament of me Peter Penfold of West Tarring in the County of Sussex Lieutenant of Marines first I order and direct that all my Just Debts and funeral Expences be paid and discharged by my Executor hereafter named as soon as conveniently may be after my decease And I do hereby desire my Executor Six Months after my decease to Pay the following Legacies _ to the persons hereinafter mentioned first I give unto my Neice Mrs Mary Clement Wife of John Clement of Chichester Gentleman and also to the said John Clement One Guinea each I also give unto my Neices Elizabeth Penfold Catherine Penfold and Ann Penfold One Guinea each Also I give unto my Nephew John Penfold of Steyning One Guinea I also give unto my Neice Mrs Mary Richardson Wife of William Richardson Esq of Findon Place One Guinea and also one guinea to the said William Richardson I also give to my Nephew William Margesson of Offington and Mary his Wife One Guinea each I also give unto my Neice Mrs Francis Richardson Wife of Thomas Richardson of Warminghurst and also the said Thomas Richardson One Guinea each I also give to my Nephew Mr Edward Penfold of Maidstone in Kent and also to Elizabeth his Wife One Guinea each I also give unto Mary Penfold John Penfold Charles Penfold and Phillis Penfold Sons and Daughters of my Brother Edward Penfold One Guinea each I also give unto my Nephew George Saxby Penfold Son of my Brother Hugh Penfold of Maidenhead six pounds and One Shilling I also give unto my Sister Ann Vowler five pounds and five Shillings I also give unto my Brother James Penfold five pounds and five Shillings I give unto my Kinsman James Graves all my wearing apparel of all sorts whatsoever I give unto my Maid Servant Ann Patching One Guinea Provided that she lives with me at the time of my decease And lastly I make ordain constitute and appoint my Nephew Mr Richard Penfold of Steyning Sole Executor of this my last Will and Testament And I do hereby revoke all former Wills by me heretofore made In Witness whereof I the said Peter Penfold the Testator have hereunto set my hand and Seal this fourteenth day of March in the Year of our Lord One thousand Seven hundred and ninety two Peter Penfold
