In the Name of God Amen I Christopher Coles of Pulbourrough in the County of Sussex gent Doe make this my last will and Testament in forme following First I give to my Two daughters Mary Coles and Jane Coles and to each of them the Sume of Eight Hundred pounds to be paid them within Two yeares after my decease And in the meane time fforty pounds a yeare to each of them for their maintenance untill the payment thereof To be paid them by my Executor out of my Personall Estate if it shall be sufficient But if my Personall Estate Shall not be sufficient after my Debts paid for the raising of my said daughters portions Then I will that my daughters shall have all my Lands in Wiggenhold for ever unlesse my Executor doe Secure to my daughters their said portions to be paid them as aforesaid by such Security as my Cosen Ralph Mills Esquire shall Thinke fitt and convenient And I earnestly desire my Loveing ffreind John Sippett Esquire to be assistant to my Executor in procureing my money due to me from the Kings Majestie Item I give to my servant George ffinch the sume of Twenty ffive pounds And I make my sonn Walter Coles sole Executor of this my last will and Testament Published the one and Twentieth day of Aprill in the Twenty Seaventh yeare of the Raigne of our Soveraigne Lord King Charles the Second And I give to the poore of Pulburrough fforty shillings And to each of my Servants Tenn shillings And to my Cosen Cressy Twenty Shillings Chr: Coles Signed and Published in the presence of John Middleton Tho: Ellis
