Will of Sarah Mant of Pagham

In the Name of God Amen I Sarah Mant Spinster of Pagham in the County of Sussex being of sound mind and memory praised be to God for the same I do make and declare this my last Will and Testament in manner and form following ffirst and principally I do recommend my Soul unto the hands of Almighty God my Creator trusting through the merited faith and passion of our blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ to receive full and free pardon for all my Sins my body I commit to the Earth to be buried by the discretion of my Executors one of which is my Dear Son Thomas Simmons Mant of No 11 ffelton Terrace Hoxton in the County of Middlesex and the other is Mr Thomas Simmons of No 11 ffelton Terrace Hoxton and ffather of the above named Thomas Simmons Mant whom I hope and trust will see this my last Will and Testament executed according to the following directions ffirst I do request my ffuneral expences may be paid and also my just debts lawfully paid and after my decease I do give and bequeath unto my Dear and loving Son Thomas Simmons Mant one of my Executors the whole of my property that I may be possessed of at the time of my decease of every kind whatsoever but if my Dear and loving Son Thomas Simmons Mant should die before my decease then I do give and bequeath unto my Dear Son’s ffather and my Good friend Mr Thomas Simmons of No 11 ffelton Terrace Hoxton in the County of Middlesex my other Executor the whole of my property that I may be possessed of at the time of my decease of every kind whatsoever but if my dear and loving Son’s ffather Mr Thomas Simmons of No 11 ffelton Terrace Hoxton in the County of Middlesex and one of my Executors should die before my decease then I do give and bequeath the whole of my property that I may be possessed of at the time of my decease and likewise my wearing apparel to be equally divided between my Dear and loving ffather and my loving Brothers & Sisters that are living at the time of my decease there are living at this time my Dear and loving ffather William Mant and my Brothers Joseph Mant and ffrancis Mant and three Sisters Ann Cager Elizabeth Clapshaw and Susannah Mountifield all of them at Pagham in the County of Sussex my Dear and loving Son Thomas Simmons Mant was born ffebruary the 27th 1816 and was Christened on the 12th day of March 1817 at the Parish Church of St Luke Old Street in the County of Middlesex in the Name of Thomas Simmons Mant and as I am the Mother of the above named Child Thomas Simmons Mant I must beg that my Dear and loving Son Thomas Simmons Mant and his loving ffather my Executors or either of them that may be living at my decease will duly see this my last Will and Testament whereunto I have set my hand & seal this first Day of November 1832 Sarah Mant
