St. James's, June 19. THIS Day the following Address from the Borough of Horsham, in the County of Sussex, was presented to Her Majesty by John Middleton, Esq; one of the Representatives for the said Borough, introduced by the most Honourable Robert Earl of Oxford and Earl Mortimer, Lord High Treasurer of Great Britain. The humble Address of the Bayliffs and Burgesses of the Borough of Horsham, in the County of Sussex: Madam, WITH Hearts full of Gratitude and Affection, We beg leave to approach Your Sacred Presence, with our Congratulations, for the Success that has attended Your Majesty's Endeavours for a General Peace, notwithstanding the restless Attempts, of Your Enemies, and the artful Contrivances of those, who envy our Happiness, to binder this Great and Good Work. The near Prospect of the many Benefits Your Kingdoms will receive by such a Peace, it very pleasing to us, and the Honour Your Majesty has restored to Great Britain, by being at the Head of this Negotiation, gives us the greatest Satisfaction and Content. The entire Confidence we have in Your Majesty's Care for the Welfare and Prosperity of all Your Subjects, encourages us to desire You to proceed, and compleat our Joy, by obtaining for us a speedy Peace upon Terms, so Honourable and Advantageous to this Nation. May the Almighty still Crown all Your Majesty's Undertakings with Success, direct Your Councils, and those employ'd under You, (with the same Courage, Zeal and Fidelity they have lately shewn) to disappoint and defeat the Vile Practices of all designing Men, and perfect Your Majesty's Great Labour of making us yet a Happy and a Flourishing People.
