Notes: Looking north-west towards the town centre, the farm stood near what is now the junction of Dellney Avenue. References to the property date back as early as 1638 when the owner was John Warden. In the 19th century a farming family, the Berrys, owned the land but, as the town grew, they diversified their business interests to include carpentry, building work, cart hire and wood, coal and coke selling. By 1909 most outbuildings had been demolished and a brickfield established nearby. The farm itself survived only a few more years until Dellney Avenue and surrounding streets were built.
