Whitehall, April 1, 1802. The King has been pleased to grant unto Sir Robert Lathropp Murray, of Seymour-Street, Portman-Square, and of the Hermitage, in the County of Berks, Baronet of North Britain, His Royal Licence and Authority, that he and his Issue by Katherine Clarke his Wife, only Child and Heir of Thomas Clarke, of Hailsham, in the County of Sussex, Esquire; deceased, by Katherine his Wife, Daughter and sole Heir of Richard Brown, late of Golden-Square aid Stamford-Hill, both in the County of Middlesex, Esq; also deceased, may assume, take, and use the Surnames of Brown-Clarke, and bear the Arms of Brown and Clarke, out of Respect to the Memory of his said Wife's Father and Grandfather, provided such Arms be first duly exemplified according to the Laws of Arms, and recorded in the Herald's Office : And also to order His Majesty's Concession and Declaration to be registered in the College of Arms.
