In the name of God Amen I Abraham Edwards of Worth in the county of Sussex gent do hereby make, publish and declare this to be my last will and testament in manner and form following (that is to say), First and principally I commend my soul to God that gave it me [.?.] accordingly through the only mortice and merittes of Jesus Christ my only saviour and redeemer to give pardon and forgiveness of all my sins and transgressions and my body I commit to the earth to be decently buried according to the discretion of my executrix hereafter named.

Item – I give and bequeath unto my loving cosen Anne Austen the wife of Nathaniel Austen of East Grinsted in the county of Sussex butcher all my goods, money and chattels whatsoever and wheresoever they be within the kingdom of England and do hereby [.?.] make and ordain the said Anne Austen my full and sole executrix of this my will and do hereby revoke and make void all former wills by me made. In witness whereof I the said Abraham Edwards have today unto set my hand and seale the eighth day of May in the eleventh year of the reign of our Sovereign Lord William the third, King of England, year Anno Domini 1699.
