Comments:

Translation (from the church guide):

Near this marble rests, with his infant son, Thomas Hayley, esquire, who was of a most liberal and benevolent nature. To these whom she faithfully cherished in life, Mary Hayley, faithful wife and a most loving parent is, in the tomb, once again united. Her son has erected this monument both to the memory of his father whom the little son lost and of the mother who, as a widow, watching with infinite care over her children, performed the duty of both parents. That son alone remaining to her of all her children to whose cares she devoted both mind and heart. 1775

Thomas and Mary Haley were the parents of Thomas Haley, the poet, who also has a memorial in this church.
