Will of Grace Chapell of Rye

This is the last Will and Testament of me Grace Chapell of Rye in the County of Sussex Widow made this thirtieth day of May one thousand eight hundred and thirty six ffirst I direct that all my just debts funeral and Testamentary charges and all other incidental expences be fully paid and satisfied I appoint my friends John Vidler of Rye aforesaid Merchant and David Taylor of Rye aforesaid Bookseller Executors of this my Will I gave and bequeath unto the said John Vidler and David Taylor all my household goods and furniture plate linen and china wearing apparel rings trinkets and other Ornaments of my person and also all my monies and securities for money and all other my Personal Estate whatsoever To hold the same unto the said John Vidler and David Taylor of the Survivor of them his Executors Admors or assigns do and shall as soon as conveniently may be after my decease either sell and dispose of my said household goods and furniture plate linen and china wearing apparel rings trinkets and other ornaments and convert the same into money or to divide the same between my four daughters hereinafter named as equally as it may be practicable and as they my said Executors shall think proper and upon further trust to convert all my other personal estate into money and to stand possessed of the money arising therefrom and from the sale of my said household goods and furniture plate linen and china wearing apparel rings trinkets and other ornaments in case the same shall be sold upon the trusts hereinbefore declared upon trust in the first place to pay all my just debts my funeral and Testamentary charges and all incidental expences and after payment thereof to pay one equal fourth part or share of the Clear Residue of the said trust monies unto my daughter Mary Ann the wife of Richard Bawden for her own use one other fourth part or share thereof unto my daughter Ann Congden the Wife of Robert Congden one other fourth part or share thereof unto my daughter Grace Vidler Widow for her own use and the remaining fourth part thereof unto Elizabeth the Wife of Samuel Vidler for her own use and I hereby revoke all former Wills and declare this only to be my last Will and Testament In Witness whereof I the said Grace Chapell have to this my last Will and Testament contained in this sheet of paper set my hand and seal the day and year first above written Grace Vidler
