THE King has been graciously pleased to grant unto John Bradbury, of Rye in the County of Sussex, Esq; His Royal Licence and Authority that he and his Issue may (out of grateful Respect to the Memory and in compliance with the Direction of the last Will and Testament of his Relation, Catherine Owens, late of Rye aforesaid, Widow, deceased, Relict of Thomas Owens, Esq; formerly Secondary of the Court of King's Bench, and Daughter of Ralph Norton, of Rye aforesaid, Gent, also deceased) take and use the Surname and bear the Arms of Norton only; such Arms being first duly exemplified according to the Laws of Arms, and recorded in the Heralds Office : And also to order that this His Majesty's Concession and Declaration be registered in his College of Arms.
