With reference to the announcement of the undermentioned awards which appeared in the London Gazette of the 3rd June, 1919, the following are the acts of gallantry for which the awards were made:— (France and Flanders unless otherwise stated. ) AWARDED THE DISTINGUISHED CONDUCT MEDAL. G/1680 Pte. (A. /Cpl. ) P. Turnbull, 2nd Bn. , R. Suss. R. (Brighton). During the severe fighting of October, when in the operations east of Mazinghein he displayed great gallantry, observing from a most advanced position the progress of the attack.
