Notice is hereby given, that at a Meeting of the Inhabitants, of this Town, it was unanimously agreed, that a Bounty be given of Three Guineas each to the first Fifty of able-bodied Seaman, (not being an Apprentice, or …) who shall, within Two Months fromo the Date hereof, voluntarily enter themselves to serve in the Royal Navy with the Regulating Captain at this Town, to be paid upon being approved by the said Regulating Captain, over and above all other Bounties, by Thomas Scutt of Brighthelmston aforesaid, Terasurer. August 2, 1779.
