This is the last Will and Testament of me William Durrant of Framfield yeoman of Franfeild yoman made the eighteenth day of November 1675 being of good understanding wherein I doe dispose of that estate the Lord hath blessed me withall as followeth. Imprimis I doe give and bequeath unto my loveing wife six pounds a yeare during her life as an addition to her joynture which shall issue out of my freehold lands quarterly. I give alsoe to my wife tenn pounds as a supply to her present wants to be presently after my death. I give alsoe to my wife all the lynnen I had with her before marriage. I give her alsoe the best bed and bedstedd and all things belonging to it except that standing in the parlour chamber and a trundle bedd and a flock bedd with what belongs to it for a servant. Item I give unto my daughter Mary Usburne widow two hundred pounds. And my will is that 150l of this shalbe paid to her sonne William Usburne to be paid att his age 24 yeares. I give to my grandchild Thomas Usburne tenn pounds. I give to my sonne Nicholas Durrant two hundred pounds and the plate that was his sister Smithes? and halfe my houshould stuffe unbequeathed. I give to my sister Peckham five pounds. I give to my sister Byme? all the money due to me on a bond. I have of hers and her bond in I give unto Elizabeth Byme? her daughter five pounds. I give unto William Byne? five pounds. I give unto Mary Durrant daughter to my brother Richard Durrant late deceased tenn pounds. I give to William Durrant sonne to my brother Richard Durrant late deceased five pounds to bind him apprentize or to be paid him when his apprentishipp is expired which my executors shall thinke most fitt. I give to William Durrant sonne to my brother John Durrant twenty pounds. My will is that all these legacies shalbe paid to those under age when they shall accomplish the age of two and twenty yeares if they be then liveing. Item I give fifty pounds for and towards the reparation of the house and buildings of my farme called Brook. Item I give to my old servant John Baker forty shillings a yeare during his life if he shall remaine single to be paid him by my executor. Item I give to the poore of the parish of Framfield fifty shillings to be distributed by the overseers to those that have most need and least releife. I give to John Smith of Barnett Wood twenty shillings. I give to Thomas Beard twenty shillings. I give to Zakeris Skiner the elder tenn shillings. Lastly I doe make and ordaine my sonne Richard Durrant my sole executor of this my last Will. I alsoe make my brother Robert Durrant overseer to be assistant to my executor in the performance of this my will for the true performance of this my Will I have sett to my hand and seale this day and yeare abovesaid.
