Carlton House, May 16. THE following Addresses have been presented to Her Royal Highness the Princess of Wales ; which Addresses Her Royal Highness was pleased to receive very graciously. To Her Royal Highness the PRINCESS of WALES. AMONG the various Testimonies of respectful Joy expressed by the British Nation on the auspicious Marriage of your Royal Highness with the Heir Apparent to the Throne, none are more sincere than those which are now offered to your Royal Highness from the Nobility, Gentry, Clergy, Freeholders and other Inhabitants of the County of Sussex. They rejoice in this Opportunity of manifesting their warm Attachment to your illustrious House, as well as personal Attention to yourself; descended as you are from a long Race of Heroes ever dear to Liberty and to Britons, this Country hails you with the kindest Welcome, receiving you into her Bosom with Affection truly parental, and, proud to call you altogether her own, she pours forth her warmest Withes for your Prosperity. May this conjugal Union, which has matured the former endearing Ties of Relation, continue for a long Series of Years ; may it be productive of every Blessing to yourself and your Royal Consort ; may you be ever mutually dear to each other, happy in your Descendants, and honoured with the well merited Confidence of an affectionate and loyal Nation. Fra. Newbery, Sheriff. [Presented by Francis Newbery, Esq; Sheriff of the said County. ].
