WHITEHALL, August 13, 1863. The Queen has been pleased to give and grant unto John Catt, of Keere Street, in the parish of Saint Michael, in the borough of Lewes, in the county of Sussex, Gentleman, Her royal licence and authority that he and his issue may, in compliance with a clause contained in the last will and testament of his sister Elizabeth Willett Catt, late of Newhaven, in the said county of Sussex, Spinster, deceased, henceforth take and use the surname of Willett only, and bear the arms of Willett; such arms being first duly exemplified according to the laws of arms and recorded in the Heralds' Office, otherwise the said royal licence and permission void and of none effect: And also to command that the said royal concession and declaration be registered in Her Majesty’s College of Arms.
