INTIMATION is Hereby Given, that in the application at the instance of JOHN MACPHERSON, sometime of Cowfold, Sussex, Major on the half-pay of the 22d Regiment of Foot, now residing at Kingussie, for sequestration of the Estates of Lieutenant ALEXANDER MACPHERSON, sometime Tacksman of Ruthven, Parish of Kingussie, and County of Inverness, now deceased, the Lord Ordinary on the Bills pronounced an Interlocutor on the 11th July last, in the following terms :—'Edinburgh, 11th July 1854. — The Lord Ordinary having considered this Petition, with the writs produced, grants warrant to Macers and Messengers-at-Arms to cite John Macpherson, presently residing at Kingussie, and Helen or Nelly Macpherson, residing at Ruthven, Parish of Kingussie, and County of Inverness, the only surviving brother and sister of Lieutenant Alexander Macpherson, sometime Tacksman of Ruthven foresaid, now deceased, the Successors of the said deceased Alexander Macpherson, in terms of the Statute, to appear in Court within twenty-one days after citation, to shew cause why sequestration of his estates should not be awarded ; and grants warrant for Letters of Diligence to recover evidence to shew that the said deceased Alexander Macpherson, resided in Scotland at the time of his death, and was then the owner of heritable or moveable estates in Scotland and Commission to the Judge Ordinary of the bounds to take the oaths of havers in common form. (Signed) 'CHARLES NEAVES. ' — And no appearance having been made for the Successors of the said deceased, although duly cited under the said Warrant granted on the 11th July last, the Lord Ordinary on the Bills, by Interlocutor dated the 14th instant, appointed intimation of the said Warrant to be Published in the Edinburgh Gazette, and ordained the successors of the said deceased to appear in Court within twenty-one days after publication, to shew cause why sequestration of his estates should not be awarded.
