In the name of God Amen I John Langredge of Sancte Johns parishe in Lewes in the Countie of Sussex sicke in body but of whole mynde and remembrannce do make and appoynte this my last will and Testament. Inprimis I will that my stocke and goodes shalbe sould by my executor. And after my debtes paied with the money made of my stocke I will give and bequeath unto Mary and Jane my daughters fiftie poundes a peece to be paied for theire portions when they shall accomplish the age of thirtie yeres. Whereas there is eleaven poundes eighte shillinges and twoe pence due unto me from St Edward Burton of Bourhs?, Knight. Item I give to Johane my wife twenty poundes worth of my goodes to be delivered her by the discretion of my executor. Allso I will that John Langridge my sonne shalbe sole executor of this my Will. And I desire Thomas Delve of Hallington my brother and Thomas Frenche of Chiddingly to be my overseers to whome I give tenne shillinges a peece. Lastly I give to the poore of the severall parishes of Saint Johns and All Saintes tenne shillinges a peece. John Langredge.
