"There may be many Mistakes in the spelling Persons Names and Places, the Clerks, in the Hurry of an Election, taking them by the Sound as the People Spoke them; but where they were known, they are here rectify'd; so that those Places they will differ from the Poll-Books, which are in the Hands of the Clerk of the Peace, otherwise they are right, according to the Copy of the Poll-Book delivere'd by the Sheriffs Clerk.".
