In the Name of God Amen. I, Neri Potten, Senior, of the Parish of Burwash in the County of Sussex, Yeoman, being weak in body but sound of mind and memory, calling to mind the uncertainty of this Life do make and declare this my last will and testament in manner and form, following that is to say, First of all I give and bequeath unto Margarett Potten my Dear and Loving Wife all my household goods and all my stock and all my husbandry, tackling, and all my bonds, bills and ready money of what nature or kind soever and wherever, and also I give and bequeath to my daughter Elizabeth Potten the sum of thirty pounds of lawful money to be paid to her within a twelvemonth and a day after my decease by my my Executor hereafter mentioned. And also I give and bequeath to my daughter Mary Potten, Wife of Thomas Moon, the sum of five pounds and five shillings of lawful money to be paid by my Executor hereafter mentioned by the sum of one pound and one shilling a year for five years, and also I give and bequeath unto my son Neri Potten the sum of fifty pounds of lawful money to be paid to him within a twelvemonth and a day after my decease by my Executor hereafter mentioned and also I give and bequeath unto my son John Potten the sum of sixty pounds of lawful money to be paid to him within a twelvemonth and a day after my decease by my Executor herafter mentioned and also I give and bequeath unto my son Thomas Potten the sum of sixty pounds of lawful money to be paid to him within a twelvemonth and a day after my decease by my Executor hereafter mentioned. And all the rest, residue and remainder of my worldly goods and effects whatsoever I give, devise and bequeath to Margaret Potten, my Dear and Loving Wife, and I do hereby charge the same with the payment of all my legacies and all my just debts, funeral expenses and probate of this my Will and I hereby nominate and appoint my said Wife Margarett Potten sole and whole Executor of this my last Will and Testament hereby revoking all former Wills by me heretofore made. In Witness to hereof I have here unto set my hand and Seal this Twenty Sixth day of May in the Year of Our Lord One Thousand Seven Hundred and Eighty Nine.
