THE major Part of the Commissioners named in a Commission of Bankrupt awarded and issued and now in Prosecution against William Smart and Henry Smart, both of the Parish of Billinghurst in the County of Sussex, Timber-merchants and Copartners, met at the Green Man, at Tolesfield Common in the Parish of West Grinsted in the said County, the First Day of January instant, (that Day being appointed in the London Gazette for the Purpose of chusing one or more Assignee or Assignees of the said Bankrupts Estates and Effects) but the major Part of the Creditors in Value then and there attending, who had proved their Debts of 10 l. and upwards, not agreeing in the Choice of one or more Assignee or Assignees of the Estates and Effects of the said Bankrupts as aforesaid, the major Part of the said Commissioners did therefore adjourn the said Meeting till Thursday the 21st Day of January instant, to be then held at the Green Man at Tolesfield Common aforesaid, at Ten o'Clock in the Forenoon ; when and where the joint Creditors of the said Bankrupts, who have already proved or who shall then prove their Debts, and whose Debts amount to 10 l. or upwards, are desired to meet, in order to chuse one or more Assignee or Assignees of the said Bankrupts Estates and Effects as aforesaid ; and immediately after the Assignee or Assignees of the said Bankrupts Estates and Effects shall be chosen, the said Creditors are desired to assent to or dissent from the Assignee or Assignees commencing, prosecuting, or defending, any Suit or Suits at Law or in Equity concerning the said Bankrupts Estate and Effects ; and also to their compounding, submitting to Arbitration, or agreeing any Matter or Thing relating thereto ; and on other special Affairs,.
