Will of John Rickman of Arundel

I John Rickman of Arundel in the County of Sussex Miller do make and declare this my last Will and Testament as follows that is to say I give to my sister Ann Rickman my silver watch all my ready money in my dwellinghouse all my household goods plate linen china and every other household article in my dwellinghouse I also give to my said sister Ann Rickman the sum of two hundred and fifty pounds I also give and devise unto my said sister Ann Rickman for her natural life my two messuages or Tenements and gardens situate and being in Old Market Street in Arundel aforesaid and also my two messuages or Tenements situate and being in the City of Chichester in the said County in the occupation of Martha Dally widow or her undertenants and from and after the decease of my said sister I give and devise all the aforesaid messuage or tenements I give and devise all the aforesaid messuages or tenements gardens and hereditaments unto and amongst all and every the child or children of my said sister Ann Rickman his her or their heirs and if more than one as Tenants in common but if my said sister Ann Rickman shall die without issue then after her decease I give and devise all the aforesaid messuage or tenements Gardens and hereditaments unto and amongst all and every the child or children of my brother Joseph Rickman and my sister Sarah Horne equally share and share alike as Tenants in common to hold to them their heirs and assigns for ever I give and devise unto all and every the children of my aforesaid brother Joseph Rickman and my aforesaid sister Sarah Horne equally share and share alike all my messuages lands tenements and hereditaments in the several parishes of Storrington Billingshurst and Wallburton in the County of Sussex and all other my real Estate whatsoever and wheresoever (except the messuages or tenements gardens and hereditaments herein before given to my Sister Ann Rickman) to hold unto them their heirs and assigns for ever as Tenants in common I will and direct that my Sister Ann Rickman shall have the direction and be at the expence of my burial and I declare the sum of two hundred and fifty pounds by me herein before given to her is so given in full satisfaction and discharge of any note memorandum or other security she has of mine for that or any other sum of money I give to each of my Executors herein after named the sum of Twenty pounds I give to Susan the daughter of Robert Horne one of my Executors my gold Watch I give and bequeath unto and amongst all and every the children of my said brother Joseph Hickman and my said Sister Sarah Horne all the Rest Residue and Remainder of my moneys due on mortgage bond note or otherwise and of all other my Personal Estate whatsoever to be equally divided amongst them share and share alike and to be paid to such of them as have not attained the age of twenty one years when and as they respectively attain such age with such interest as may accrue for the same in the meantime I make constitute and appoint my nephew Robert Horne of Arundel aforesaid Miller and Caleb Rickman of Offham in the parish of South Stoke and County aforesaid Executors of this my Will upon the Trusts and for the Purposes hereinbefore mentioned In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this eighteenth day of May in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and ninety four _ John Rickman
