This is the last will and Testament of me the foresaid Thomas Avery made the daye and yere aforesaid an as concerninge the disposicon of my howses and lands wthin the pishe of Bexhill aforesaid that is to say I will and bequeth the sowth pt of my foresaid howse ... called the Hall and the romes thereto belonginge wth half the barne wth ingresse and regresse to and from the same. And half my lands with all the ... and comodities whatsoev ther to belonginge soe ther be noe mann’ of wast in anie pt or pcell therof unto Elizabeth my wiffe duringe her widdowhode. And the north pt of the howse with the romes therto belonginge wth the other half of the barne with ingresse and regresse to and from the same. And the other half of my land in like order as is before .... I geve and bequeth to my daughter Joane duringe her naturall lif. And also my said daughter Joane shall have the use of the f... ... and oven wth my ... aforesaid payinge equall chardges with her if ... ... happen to arise about the same. And if they should chance to disagree in or about the premisses? I will they both shallbe ruled by the discrecon of my said ov’seres. And if my said wyfe happen to marye I will that the whole howse and lands aforesaid shall remaine to my said daughter Joane or her assignes intirely during her naturall liffe. And after her death I will the said whole howse and lands shall remaine to John Avery the sonne of Martin Avery and to his heires for ev’. Witnesses at the makeing and p’nounsing? thereof Thomas Mawdesley, Clerk; Thomas Martin; Mathewe Haighton and Roger Chipping?
