This is the Last Will and Testament of me Oliver Penfold of Stayning in the County of Sussex Gentleman made whilst of sound mind and Perfect disposing memory and understanding whereby I recommend my Soul to God and dispose of my Worldly Estate and Effects in manner following that is to say first I give and Bequeath unto my friend Charles Bushby of Arundel in the said County of Sussex Mercer the Sum of five Guineas to be paid to him within Six Months next after my decease Also I give and Bequeath unto my Servant Maid Ann Trew Spinster the Sum of five Guineas to be paid her within One Month next after my decease Also All the Residue and Remainder of my Personal Estate and Effects whatsoever and wheresoever of what kind or nature soever the same shall or may consist at the time of my decease (after payment of my Just Debts funeral expences and the before mentioned Legacies) I Give and Bequeath unto my dear Brother John Penfold of Gosport in the county of Southampton to and for his own use and benefit And I do hereby nominate and appoint my said Brother John Penfold sole Executor of this my last Will and Testament And I do hereby revoke all former and other Wills and Testaments by me at any time made In Testimony that this is my last Will and Testament I have hereunto set my hand and Seal this fifth day of March in the Year of our Lord One thousand seven hundred and Sixty Seven _ Oliver Penfold

On fifteenth June 1798 Administration with Will annexed of Goods Chattels and Credits of Oliver Penfold formerly of Portsmouth but late of Steyning to Robert Hall of George Street in the Adelphi in the County of Middlesex Esquire as a Person for that purpose appointed by Robert Budden Esquire limited so far as concerns the Right Title and Interest of the Deceased in and to a Messuage or Tenement with the Stable and Appurtenances and the Residue and Remainder of the term of one thousand years John Penfold the Brother having died without taking upon himself the Execution of the Will
