Will of Joseph Stunt of Wadhurst

This is the last Will and Testament of me Joseph Stunt of Wadhurst in Sussex Glazier made the first day of December One thousand eight hundred and twenty nine in manner and form as follows my Will is that all my just debts testamentary expences be fully paid as soon after my decease as conveniently can be out of my real and Personal Property by my Executrix hereinafter named Also my Will is that I give devise and bequeath unto my Son Thomas Stunt all my Implements of working tools that are used in the trade or trades of Plumbing Glazing or painting at my decease those tools so found as well as the stock in trade I request to have valued by a competent judge and at the price so sett on the said tools and stock in hand he the said Thomas Stunt my Son after deducting what I stand in debt for Lead Glass Colour he the said Thomas Stunt shall pay or cause to be paid 4£ P Cent P Ann for such monies as shall arise therefrom to my Executrix Also my Will is I give devise and bequeath unto my Wife Elizabeth Stunt All the rest residue of my real and Personal Estate or Estates a house situate in the Town of Wadhurst now in my own occupation with the rights priviliges hereditaments appurtenances thereto belonging Also all Bills Bonds Notes Book debts ready money Beds Beding Stradles Hangings Blanketts Coverlids or Counterpins Carpetts Linens of all descriptions Plate China Pier and other Glasses Mahogany and other Tables Bureaus Boffetts Chest of draws Boxes Chairs of all sorts Clocks Watches Dressers shelves Barrells Kellers Tubbs Stoores Grates fenders firepans tongs bellows pokers heft Cups saucers Crocks and every other article of mine or that shall be found of mine on the premises I shall occupy at the time of my decease if the house be let she shall be intitled to the rent Also my Will is that the said Property I shall die possessed of shall have a fair valuation and interest and rent shall be found insufficient for her maintenance in a comfortable way I wish the most useless part to be sold so far as to support her comfortable during her natural life or so long as she shall remain A Widow at the death of my Wife Elizabeth Stunt my Will is that whatever remains shall be revalued and sold as the survivor or survivors shall agree and whatever the ammount may or shall be I give devise and bequeath one third to my daughter Maria Elizabeth Stunt (Widow) by Marriage Wickham one other third to my daughter Mary Ann Stunt now Oxenden by marriage and the other one third to my Son Thomas Stunt over and above the tools I given him before to them and their heirs lawfully begotten male or female for their own use and benifitt I nominate and appoint my Wife Elizabeth Stunt my Executrix aided and assisted by my Son Thomas Stunt to make all parties comfortable I revoke all other Will or Wills by me made declaring this to be my last made Dec 11 1829 Joseph Stunt
