Parish picture

The parish church of St Andrew, Oving, is a cruciform building of stone in the Early English style, consisting of a chancel, north and south transepts, north porch, nave and a western tower with a spire containing 4 bells. The seven chancel windows are all memorials. The church was restored in 1881 when traces of a former 12th century church were unearthed.

Oving Manor House was built in the reign of Henry VII and was the property of the Ecclesiastical Commissioners in the late 19th century, who were the Lords of the Manor.

The area of the parish, including Portfield, is 2989 acres of land and 19 acres of water.
