The parish church, dedicated to St Michael and All Angels was rebuilt by Scott in 1863. There is interesting arcading on the outside of the north wall of the chancel.
The tower is a good example of Perpendicular architecture.
Horsted Place is a large Tudor style house, built by George Mayers in 1850 for Francis Barchard, a wealthy merchant. Much of the detail was designed by Augustus Pugin. In 1965 the house was sold to Lord and Lady Rupert Nevill who refurbished the mansion, adding many bathrooms and commissioning Sir Geoffrey Jellicoe to landscape the gardens. The Royal Family visited the Nevills on several occassions.
The house was sold in 1986 and is now a country house hotel.
