In the name of God amen, the tenth day of May 1573 I George Wyke of the parish of Warbleton in the county of Sussex in the diocese of Chichester being sick of body but whole of mind and of perfect remembrance thanks be to God ……. last will and testament.

First I bequeath my soul to Almighty God my maker and to Jesus Christ my redeemer and saviour trusting to be saved by the means of his death and passion and by no other means and my body to be buried in the churchyard of the parish of Warbleton.

Item I will to John and Rose and Amye my children to each of them, to be delivered immediately after my death all the residue of my good my debts and legacies paid and my will fulfilled I give to Julian my wife whom I make my sole executrix and I do ordain my well beloved in Christ John DELVE to be my faithful overseer of this my last will and testament.
