TO be sold, pursuant to a Decree of the High Court of Chancery, made in a cause Langford v. Selmes, with the approbation of the Judge to whose Court the said cause is attached, by Messrs. Farebrother, Clark, and Lye, at the White Hart, Lewes, on Friday, June 15th, at one for two o'clock in the afternoon precisely. The following- very valuable freehold and partly tithe-free estates, the property of the late Frederick Langford, Esq. , of Udimore, in the county of Sussex, deceased, situate in the parish of Saint John the Baptist, at Southover, near to and on the south side of the county and market town of Lewes, in the said county of Sussex, forming the larger portion of the site of the ancient priory of Saint Pancras, founded in 1078 by the daughter of William the Conqueror and her husband, William de Warrene, and comprising the picturesque and very interesting ruins of that monastic establishment. Also three valuable pieces of land, called the Mount Field, Dripping-pan Field, and a field adjoining, with small piece of building ground, the whole about 20 acres. Also a copy-hold house in Russell row, Star-lane, Lewes, equal to freehold, being held at a tine certain of 6d.
