Notes:

Summers Place dates back to the 13th century, when it was presented to Roger de Someri as part of a knight's fee. It was rebuilt in 1880 to the designs of the gentleman architect John Norton. After WW II it was adapted to a convent school until 1984 when it became the base for Sotheby's auction specialists. It was then purchased by Berkeley Homes who extended and converted into residential apartments. It is assumed the chapel (to the south of the complex) was included in this development.
